Some final photos from my Miri trip

The mandatory picture of The Grand Old Lady on Canada Hill, the first ever oil well in Miri. Godpa drove mum and I up Canada Hill to the Shell Museum, but it was kinda hot so the old folks (mum, godma and godpa) didn't want to get out of the car... so I took a couple minutes to see the panaromic view of Miri City from the hill. There was also a dinosaur exhibition in the museum, but didn't go in lo.


Tanjung Lobang Beach... it could be cleaner, but the view was still breathtaking!


I take pictures like this ho, as proof to my parents that I'm where I say I am... hehe... no lar... they trust me cause I'm a vely, vely good girl. :)

Look Maman and Papa! I was at the triathlon!


*drool* Look at the water!!! Most of the triathletes, of course, did frontal crawl... but I saw a handful doing breast strokes! I was thinking that they would be left quite far behind with the breast stroke for 1.5km distance... but I guess they knew that they could make up for it in the other 2 disciplines, cycling 40km and running 10km.


Min Yen was sharing with me that most triathletes find swimming the hardest discipline to master, unless they started off with swimming before taking up triathlon. It's very easy for them to get disorientated in the water when they lose bearing, and there were cases of season triathletes drowning. But am happy to note that Min's a superb swimmer! Make that a superduper triathlete!

I know I'm a bad photographer... I loved the ceiling and the fans so much that I didn't relized that I beheaded the crowd. But this function hall of Parkcity Everly Hotel, Miri is really something! The competition's closing ceremomy was held here... but Angie and I left half-way even before eating because it was buffet, and with the crowd it took forever to get to the food... we sneeked back into our room and watched CSI instead and ate junk food.


My flight back to Kuching! It's my first on Air Asia... not too impressed, but for the cost, it's soooo worth it! Saved me about RM100/- from taking a flight on MAS!
