Not fair

OMG. Just came out of OT. Assisted in a laparatomy and splenectomy. A stupid guy got into a high-velocity car vs. car head on collision this evening, resulting in polytrauma. He was driver of the vehicle. Maybe drinking. Spleen laceration, maxillary fracture, left hip dislocation, left tibia open fracture with near amputation of the left foot and a right closed femur fracture. And survived to drive recklessly again for another day. Life is NOt fair.
